App Installation
Which Android OS version is needed to download and use the Evie Ring app?
- We support Android OS 12 and above (API level 31 and above).
When do you plan to support older Android OS versions?
- We are working on supporting older versions until Android OS 11 (API level 30). We plan to release supporting phones with these versions.
- We will not be supporting any versions below Android OS 11.
How do I know if I have a supported OS version or API level?
- On your device, please see: Settings > About phone > Software information
Which Android phone manufacturers are supported?
- Currently we support Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel phones that can install Android OS 12 or above and that support Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
We have a different Android phone with Android OS 13 or above. Can we buy the Evie Ring?
- Our Evie Ring app is not guaranteed to work perfectly on other phones. Ideally, the Evie Ring app should work on any phone that has Android 12 or above; however, some phone manufacturers or seller networks may have customized Bluetooth stacks that are not verified.
Why can't I find the Evie Ring app in the Google Play Store?
- The Evie Ring app is released in the US only and is not available for download in other countries.
- Your phone may be on an older OS version or supporting an older API level. Please try updating your OS to the latest version.
User Login/Registration
What user login/registration options are available in the Evie Ring app?
- As in the Evie Ring app for iOS, you can login/register using your email address or Apple/Google social logins.
I'm currently using the Evie Ring app in iOS, but I want to switch to my Android device. Can I use same login credentials to access my profile?
- Yes! If you've already registered in iOS, you can use the same login credentials to access your profile in Android. IMPORTANT NOTE: Initially, Journal data logged in the Evie Ring app for iOS will not transfer over to the Android version. To avoid the loss of historical Journal data, you may create a new profile in the Evie Ring app for Android instead of logging in with the same credentials. This will be corrected in a near future release.
Evie Ring Connectivity & Data Syncing
Does the Evie Ring app continuously connect to the Evie Ring?
- Yes! The Evie Ring collects wellness data off your finger in short intervals throughout the day and night. The companion app connects to the Evie Ring over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to transfer data periodically when the app is in both foreground mode and background mode. This helps create a better user experience, as the wait time for data to be transferred and processed, prior to displaying in the app, is significantly shorter.
Watchdog on my Android OS is warning about the Evie Ring app running in the background. What should I do?
- Disabling/prohibiting the Evie Ring app from running in the background will lead to longer data sync times between the Evie Ring and the companion app. We do not recommend it.
Will the Evie Ring app negatively affect my phone battery?
- The Evie Ring app runs within Android OS's limitations and guidelines. We have not seen any major effects on phone battery consumption.
Basic Troubleshooting
If you experience any of the issues listed below, please try (1) fully charging your Evie Ring, (2) ensuring your Evie Ring is close to your Android device, (3) turning your Android device's Bluetooth off and back on, and (4) quitting and relaunching the Evie Ring app.

- My companion app shows the Evie Ring is connected, but I don't see any data.
